WIZ BANG BAR FIRST DATE
Maxine and David’s romance began over a sweet treat at Wiz Bang Bar in Portland, Oregon. “On their first date they shared some laughs and smiles over a double scoop topped with sprinkles.” After a year of dating, they decided that dessert was definitely an experience they wanted to share for the rest of their lives.
In August 2020, David pulled off the surprise of a lifetime by popping the question to Maxine at Detroit Lake. This campground proposal was made even more exciting when Maxine and David returned to Portland to share a picnic with not only David’s parents, but Maxine’s parents as well. With an engagement weekend so full of love and surprises, it was easy to see all the special touches that would soon be in store for their wedding day.
BISHOP BY THE LABEL

With her mom and maid of honor joining her for this special occasion, Maxine's appointment was fun and full of The Label bridal style. Maxine said yes to not only her dream wedding dress, but also a few classical wedding accessories.
CLASSIC BRIDAL ACCESSORIES
From finding her sleeveless high neck wedding dress to finishing off the look with Sara Gabriel’s 'Caroline Veil’ and 'Celeste Duet’, her entire bridal style was effortlessly elegant. Maxine had her pearl beaded belt sewn to the front of her dress. Stopping the belt at the side seam allowed her keyhole back to fully shine.
A long wedding veil with pearls was placed in Maxine’s romantic low bun bridal hairstyle. With dainty rhinestone earrings and embellished wedding shoes, Maxine’s delicate bridal accessories and jewelry brought this The Label wedding dress to life.
BLOCKHOUSE WEDDING CEREMONY
Maxine and David’s greenhouse wedding venue added to the enchantment of their special day. Vibrant vegetation filled the space as did natural light pouring in from the glass ceiling and sides. Bistro lights added a beautiful golden glow and a giant tree served as the centerpiece for their wedding altar.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an elegant reception dinner. Two long farm tables lined the nursery and clear glass vases with green florals were situated throughout the center of the tables. Each place setting was marked with gold flatware and white ceramic plates. On each plate, unique wedding place cards were situated in the center.
CUSTOM WOODEN WEDDING CAKE TOPPER
At the end of the evening, Maxine and David posed in front of their simple chocolate drip wedding cake. Their custom wooden wedding cake topper read ‘Married in Oregon’ and was in the shape of the state. This personalized cake topper along with the small deer that leaped from the top of the topper complimented their elegant rustic decor.
